Luminance, Luminance Ratio, and Web Page Legibility

Description

This page provides an interactive tool for evaluating text-color and background-color pairs by calculating their LR (Luminance Ratio) and displaying samples of the pair.

usage

• Enter an HTML color value in the "VAlue" inputs.
• Press <Enter> or click the "Update" button to apply the new colors.
• Use one of the following formata:
  • #fff — 3-character hexadecimal
  • #f0f0f0 — 6-character hexadecimal
  • 127,127,127 — RGB triple, where each element is 0 — 255
  • Pink — any valid HTML Color namd
• Here is a list of valid color names and their values. Color names and hexadecimal values are case-insensitive.
